The Person Behind the Lens

Photography has shaped the way I observe and interpret the world for much of my life. Classically trained in the medium, my practice is grounded in film photography, disciplined observation, and a belief that the most compelling images often emerge through restraint.

My approach draws upon fine-art photography, Minimalism, and the clarity of Swiss design. Through deliberate composition, tonal control, and thoughtful sequencing, I explore atmosphere, structure, memory, and the relationship between an individual image and the larger story it can tell.

My professional path has been anything but conventional. As a United States Navy air traffic controller, I developed a lasting appreciation for precision, discipline, and attention to detail. Later, working as a lead booking agent for a commercial talent agency, I gained firsthand insight into the collaborative relationships among photographers, casting directors, producers, and creative professionals.

In 2024, I graduated summa cum laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Studio Art. My studies in rhetoric and visual culture deepened my understanding of how images communicate, shape perception, and carry meaning beyond their immediate subject.

Today, my work bridges fine-art photography and commercial visual storytelling. Whether creating a film-based photographic series, developing a portrait, or collaborating on a visual concept, I approach each project with curiosity, intention, and respect for the story being told.

Based in Denver, Colorado, I continue to explore photography as both an artistic discipline and a means of meaningful human connection.
